@matt This is exciting news! And funny even, as I recall asking Mosseri in his Instagram AMA about the possibility of ActivityPub support in the near future. Didn't get a response (not surprisingly), but I guess they have been looking into this direction for some time now. Cool! :D
@manton That's a while ago! I recall writing my first post back in 2004. Warm memories from those early days of blogging :)
@manton This is soooo cool! Thank you for making this possible Manton! ππ
@manton I had to check the calendar to make sure it's not an April fools' day. I would understand if it was a one-off fee for getting verified, but a monthly subscription service, really? I also wonder if this affects engagement/ reach for those who don't subscribe π€―
@manton Ah, "catched" it right on time then! ππ
@Munish Winter escapes to tropics :D Yeah, it's dark outside when workday starts and it's dark when it ends, but one gets used to it eventually. Quite a few colleagues have those daylight therapy lamps which seem to help a bit at least. :)
@jemostrom True! I actually remember that phrase from my grandmother's toilet room heater :D
@odd @jemostrom Ah, I didn't think of that! Then it's indeed correct. Radiators / heaters have that label / sticker on them often. :)
@jemostrom Well, I believe my Swedish is probably in same state if not worse. It's been 20 years since I last time wrote or spoke a word in that regard :D (btw, not 100% sure what you meant by "ei saa peittÀÀ", what was that in english version?)
@jeroensangers Well said. Yeah, there are some pro's to separating the posts to different blogs via language, but then again, I also fear it might create too much friction to the writing process itself. Keeping everything in one place feels "better" I think :) Thanks for the good feedback!
@jemostrom Yeah, I'm starting to lean more in the direction of just posting both language posts on the same micro blog. I used to have that mixed approach on Twitter and it worked ok. :)
@maique Thank you! Would take those warm breezes gladly! π Enjoy the weather there!
@maique Oh how I miss the poolside right now. Yesterday was a chilly -22 Celcius, today a bit warmer.. but my old bones sure would need some warm and vitamin D! π
@maique Agreed! There's also this same kind of community feel that blogs used to have (around them) in the early 2000's. Love it! π
@jeffmueller Wonderful! Thank you so much ππ
@maique Thank you Maique! That sure was a great place to visit π To finish off the adventure, experienced one of the most intense rainfall on the way back that I've ever seen. But worth it! ππ¦
@SimonWoods Oh this looks great, thanks Simon! π
@amit I gave up on that game a long time ago. I try to be content if I manage to actually read a good book from start to finish, finish a season of a good series or even just keep focus long enough to read a longform article. My attention span is terrible these days. π
@amit The good old blogging days! π I especially miss the lively comment sections blogs had back then. Nowadays most bloggers don't even have a comments enabled anymore :/ Smartphones kinda ruined things for us too. "No space" for all those quirky fun things on the screen! π
